Georgetown Firehall – Planting #4 – Oct 3, 2026

On a beautiful fall morning, Trees for Halton Hills  hosted a successful community planting event at the Halton Hills Georgetown Fire Station in Halton Hills. About 40 cheerful and hardworking volunteers—including many families with children and Town of Halton Hills staff —came together to plant 150 trees native to the area.

Thanks to the group’s energy and teamwork, the planting was completed in just over three hours. As a special touch, several turkey vultures supervised the planting from a nearby building, adding a unique local flair to the day.

This event reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing Halton Hills’ urban forest with native species while bringing the community together for a fun, meaningful cause.

Thank you to all of the volunteers. We hope to see you again Oct 17th and 24th.
