On the first day of November 2025, over 60 volunteers joined Trees for Halton Hills to plant 150 native trees at a local Fire Hall on Maple Avenue in Georgetown. The amazing turn out and enthusiasm humbled Trees for Halton Hills organizers. This was the final installment of trees at this location for a total of 450 native trees in a reforestation effort. Employees from KONE Inc. and RBC as well as community residents were among the happy volunteers. This final planting event of 2025 by Trees for Halton Hills was the sixth planting of twelve that is in partnership with the Town of Halton Hills with funding provided by Greening Canada’s Community Canopies grant through the Green Municipal Fund.
