On Saturday, May 2, volunteers gathered at a park near Autumn Circle in Limehouse for a community tree planting event led by Trees for Halton Hills and the Town of Halton Hills. Despite the cool weather—and even a brief flurry of snowflakes—participants including corporate partner Grundfos of Oakville (https://www.grundfos.com/ca), Halton Hills Scouts, and Credit Valley Conservation (https://cvc.ca/) brought energy and enthusiasm to the effort. Volunteers from Halton Hills, across the region, including Mississauga, Oakville, Milton, Orangeville, and as far away as Bradford—nearly an hour’s drive— came to lend a hand. Smiles were plentiful as the group worked together to plant 150 native trees, transforming the landscape in what felt like record time. The brisk pace and strong sense of camaraderie left volunteers with a shared sense of accomplishment and organizers pleased with another successful planting day. This was our last planting of Spring 2026. See you in the fall.
