Scouts Planting - April 27, 2024

To end off Earth week with a bang, Trees for Halton Hills invited the Scouts from Acton and Georgetown to plant 150 native trees. The planting happened at the old landfill site in Georgetown. This site is part of a reforestation effort and with the help of the Scouts this site is complete with a total of 1000 trees planted there.

Despite the rainy weather the Scouts, their Leaders and family members were hard working and in great spirits and so helpful. The planting ended with snacks and cheerful whistle blowing by the train that was chugging by. Thank you to George Henderson, Don Miller, Paul Fredenburg from Scouts Canada for helping out at the last minute to make this planting a success.
