PLANT AT HOME

There are lots of good reasons to plant a tree in your own yard. Trees reduce air pollution. Shade trees make yards more water-wise and cooler. Trees improve emotional and psychological health. And best of all, trees beautify the space around us. Help us meet the 65,000 Tree Challenge by planting a tree in your yard and register it below.

Trees can be purchased at local nurseries and Trees for Halton Hills and the Town of Halton Hills also have occasional retail sales. Remember that native trees and shrubs have greater resilience and offer the best supports to biodiversity in our region of Ontario. Visit the Trees for Halton Hills Arboretum on Delrex Boulevard in Georgetown to see and learn more about native trees and shrubs.
